The Stromag Periflex® CS cardon shaft is a highly-flexible rubber coupling for direct connection of a cardan shaft to a diesel engine drive. This is used for vibration damping for construction equipment, trucks, train & boat engines.

The Periflex CS ® couplings are designed for use in piston engines for direct connection of a drive shaft. The ring member can be bolted directly to the flywheel of an engine. The PTO is flanged to the B-side of the clutch. Deflection angle of the shaft up to 5 degrees can generally be allowed, larger angles on request.

The Periflex® CS Coupling combines a ring element of rubber-flexible material and a bearing to absorb safely the restoring forces of a connected cardan shaft. The variety of available rubber qualities allows to select the suitable coupling for every drive subject to torsional vibrations
