Hydraulically actuated KMK multi-disc clutches transmit much higher rates of torques than the electromagnetic clutches through the medium of oil for the same installation space. A torque range from 200 to 2.2 million Nm has already been realized. A key highlight of the KMK Clutches is the precise and sensitive controllability of the start-up.
